Charles Westbrook has been programming for over 20 years and is the quintessential "geek." Charles does most of the programming and coding for Maplewood Creative Design, as well a lot of the graphics work. He is an integral part of the team and has a passion for perfection in the work he produces. If you have ever heard of someone thinking in 1's and 0's this is the face you need to put with that thought!

Charles is also a distinguished Project Manager so he is very aware of the importance of project schedules and budgets as he manages them on an almost daily basis. You can rest assured that if he you have a project with a set deadline and budget, he will meet or exceed your expectations on time and on budget, every time!

Kirsten Westbrook

Creative Director


Kirsten brings an extensive background in creative design to Maplewood Creative Design. Her diversity comes from working both individually and in corporate America. As Creative Director at Maplewood Creative Design, her role is to assist clients in developing new ways to represent their company's media indentity - both online and in print media. Kirsten's dedication to working directly with our clients in creative sessions helps develop our clients company strategy from concept through completion. Kirsten ensures that the business objectives of your organization are met and that your brand strategy will be advanced.

Kirsten has extensive knowledge of print and web design as well as experience in project management, brand development, interactive commerce and the creative process. She has the ability to translate a web idea into additional forms of contact media which assist our clients in reaching a broader customer base. In addition to web services, Kirsten is quite proficient in producing print materials and working with photo images to give clients a personal edge.

Company Philosophy

The reason we do the things the way we do

Maplewood Creative Design tries to set itself apart from its competition in several ways, and feel that these distinguishing philosophies make us the leading provider of Design Services in Connecticut.

We put you first. Although many companies claim to do this, we feel that this is a key component to our success. We don't go with "the customer is always right," we are experts in our field, and know how to do what we do very well. Our governing philosophy is to do what is right for you. To do this, we take the time to explain everything in human terms (not techno-babble) and will make sure that we are able to provide the right product and services for you, even if it turns out to be less profitable for us.

We will never oversell you. We are consumers too, and there is nothing more aggravating to us than to get home with our newest purchase and realize that we could have gotten a similar product for less money that did exactly what we needed. As a general rule, if you don't need it we aren't going to sell it to you, similarly if you need only the basic package we aren't going to try to convince you to buy the super-deluxe. Not only does this save you time and money, it saves us the effort of creating something that we know will never be used.

Family values are key. We are a family run business, we pride ourselves on being able to go to sleep at night knowing that our kids can come into our office at any time and see what is on our computer screens. We will never provide a service for any company with which we have moral issues. So what we mean is that we don't do pornographic websites, we won't code a program that will steal or defraud, we won't create worms or viruses for marketing purposes, and we won't do websites for any types of hate groups or allow illegal content or any content that fits the above description to be hosted on our servers.

These are our basic company principles, we will never stray from the basics that set us apart from the rest, but feel that it's important for you to know who you are working with.
